Abstract: The construction industry often acts as a catalyst to stimulate the growth of a nation's economy. The industry is often referred to as an engine of growth. However, numerous projects have criticized the industry's poor performance, especially in terms of productivity, quality, quality systems, cost overrun and time overrun. In order to improve performance, many construction companies implement the ISO 9000 series, an integrated system to ensure consistency and better performance of construction projects. The preliminary data for this research was collected through a literature review and the use of a questionnaire survey targeted at some contractors, clients and consultants in some projects in India. Few experts were interviewed and their opinions were taken to identify factors which affect contractor performance in construction projects. As the outcome, total 86 factors that affect contractor performance may be encountered in a construction project were identified. The factors for contractor performance are then classified into twelve broad categories (Cost, Time, Quality, Management, Material, Worker, Health and Safety, Client Satisfaction, Environmental, Execution, Design and Documentation, Productivity) depending on their nature and mode of occurrence. An approach is suggested to carry out ranking of these contractor performance factors by Relative importance index technique.

Abstract:

With the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers’ contract with the United States Department ofCommerce due to expire in 2015, the international debateon Internet governance has been re-ignited. However, much of the debate has been over aspects of privacy andsecurity on the visible Web and there has not been muchconsideration of the governance of the “deep Web” andthe “dark Web.”The term deep Web is used to denote a class of contenton the Internet that, for various technical reasons, is notindexed by search engines. The dark Web is a part ofthe deep Web that has been intentionally hidden and isinaccessible through standard Web browsers. A relativelyknown source for content that resides on the dark Web isfound in the Tor network. Tor, and other similar networks, enables users to traverse the Web in near-complete anonymity by encrypting data packets and sending themthrough several network nodes, called onion routers. Like any technology, from pencils to cellphones, anonymity can be used for both good and bad. Users whofear economic or political retribution for their actions turnto the dark Web for protection. But there are also thosewho take advantage of this online anonymity to use the dark Web for illegal activities such as controlled substancetrading, illegal financial transactions, identity theft andso on.

Considering that the dark Web differs from the visible Web, it is important to develop tools that can effectively monitor it. Limited monitoring can be achieved today by mappingthe hidden services directory, customer data monitoring, social site monitoring, hidden service monitoring andsemantic analysis.

Abstract: In the construction industry mostly the waste obtain from demolition of structure are used for landfill. Now days the price of land is also increasing faster, so it is necessary to take some action to stop the activity of land filling and save the land for future work and also save the environmental condition. Sustainable construction means to adopt the building design which have sustainable supply and environmentally friendly. In this study the approach of using recycled, reused material in the new construction project or in other work which is related to the construction is detailed. This approach is made clear by checking the feasibility of usage of 3r material in market. From this study around 37% to 38% of the materials can be reutilized in the construction work. But still technology is lagging behind to reutilize the waste material into new construction to achieve full sustainability.

Abstract: In today’s industrial field production become fast due to use of various automation system. Now days more and more traditional and cnc machine tool used in automated production line. Sometime due to unavoidable causes like machine failure, disconnect the machine from power line , the cutting operation going to be stop and this will damage the work piece and tool. However some time due to suddenly power cut off there will be over travel of cutting tool till the motor shaft running stop in traditional machine tool.(in auto feed operation). And cnc machine , when suddenly power cut off  although the servomotor stops quickly it stops the tool or work piece motion in cnc lathe or cnc milling respectively , the tool and work piece damage or fail occurs due to over load. So by applying the different mechanical back through motion mechanism, tool moves in opposite direction to that of the feed. The use of mechanism that will stop the motion of the tool or work piece whichever is less, this will also stop the cutting operation even after loss of the control on the machine. This will be safe guard the work piece and tool from damage.

Abstract: Resistance Spot Welding is a process of joining the sheet metal parts. In this study spot welding machine is used to weld the pads on a pan of the fuel tank. Material used in fuel tank’s pan and pad is Cold Reduced Low Carbon Steel Sheet. The thickness for pad is 1.50 mm and for pan is 0.80 mm (Galvanized). The diameter of electrode used for spot welding is 5mm. There is a rejection of fuel tank due to low weld tensile strength. So, DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve & Control) method and Taguchi Method is used for reduction in rejection level. Experiment is carried out on Resistance Spot Welding machine. The highly effective parameters as welding current and weld cycle time with their different levels are used. These parameters are affecting the quality of resistance spot welding in terms of tensile strength, nugget size and internal defect. Each parameter has its effect on output quality parameter. The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of two control parameters like welding current and weld cycle time of resistance spot welding machine on tensile strength, nugget size and internal defect of the spot welding as a weld quality. Ultrasonic Flaw Detection Test as a Non-Destructive test and Tensile Test as a Destructive test is used. Optimization of welding current and cycle time by using software is used for reduction in rejection level.
