Prakash N. Jadav,Sejal P. Dalal

Volume: I , Issue: III Publication Year: 2014 , Page(s): 68-71

Abstract: Fly ash based concrete has a disadvantage of low initial(28 days) compressive strength , over an advantage of highdurability .although this loss of compressive strength is achievedafter 90 days, it requires continuous curing. As Glass fiber basedconcrete has an advantage of very high initial compressive strength,it can be added to fly ash based concrete to conquer its disadvantage. This paper deals with experimental study of strength & durabilityaspect of fly ash based woven roving glass fiber reinforced concrete. For this Investigations were carried out for workability, compressivestrength and durability properties such as water absorption, acidicacid and alkalinity measurement of M25 grade of fly ash basedconcrete mixes with different percentage of woven rowing glassfiber with 25 % replacement as fly ash and 0.1 %, 0.2 % , 0.3 %addition of woven roving glass fiber .the experiments were carriedout for two w/c ratio viz 0.45, 0.5. Experimental results show thatincreasing quantity of glass fiber decrease the workability ofconcrete. 0.2 % addition of woven roving glass fiber with a w/c ratio0.45 gives the optimum result for both strength & durability of M25grade of concrete.

Volume: I , Issue: III Publication Year: 2014 , Page(s): 89-96

Abstract: This paper presents a brief description of Automatic BarbedWire Making Machine Bwm-700, its modification and designalterations. This machine serves as a development to manuallyhandled barbed wire maker and semi-automatic which were used tomanufacture barbed wires presently available in India. Also BWM-700 capabilities are enhanced to make unloading of wire coil safe andaccurate with respect to weight.BWM-700 has several sub-assemblieseach is associated with some portion of the function of producingfinal wire. There are mechanisms for drawing main wire andauxiliary wire, attaching barbs to the main wire, cutting the accuratelength of barbs, advancing the wire horizontally and finally rolling itover the cage and unloading it. This all units obtains power from thesingle source i.e. 3 phase motor. This machine was not having facilityfor doing any kind of alteration in wire and twisting and turningwhich are the basic operation that is associated to it were lackinguniformity. The final produced wire was also not rolled and packagedproperly and hence spool with fingers was attached to cage assembly. Moreover it also calls for certain accessories like line switches, contactors and length counters being added which will enhance itscapabilities like measuring length of wire coil, stopping cageassembly to unload the coil.

Abstract: To manage the increasing amount of video information, avideo scene change detection method is essential. Many advancedvideo applications require the scene change detection to organize thevideo content. In our paper we are going to implement an effectivescene change detection method using an unsupervised algorithm withthe help of the technique of object tracking. By using this method weare going to perform not only accurate scene change detection, butalso acquire information of the video frames, which is very useful forvideo data indexing, clustering and analysis. We are going to detectmoving objects in colour image sequences. A video stream isprocessed at various levels by comparing the consecutive frames. Thesystem successfully extracts changes from dynamic imagessequences. In our system, we first parse a video sequence into physical shots anddetect changes. According to changes the clustering algorithm willmerge shots into groups. By integrating the video knowledge in theindexing structure, the database system will make more sense insupporting the retrieval and browsing for users. We first present aknowledge-based video indexing and content management for videoinspection system.
