Abstract: Steel and its various types such as mild steel, dual phase steel, zinc coated steel, austenitic stainless steel has wide application in present era. Thus it is necessary to join steel sheet for which resistance spot welding (RSW) is the suitable option. Present study shows various method of increasing weld quality by various experimental-convectional method-reductions in expulsion comparison of conventional and coated elements, use of servo guns, ERP test etc. which is the focus of study. Effort is made to study the purpose of increase in weld strength, tensile strength, accurate nuclear size by various experimental set up as reviewed from different research papers, validating of all the result were studied which was verified by finite element analysis.

Abstract: Burnishing is the chip less finishing method. Plastic deformation occurs on metals by burnishing (cold working), in which pressure is applied with the help of very hard and smooth ball or roller. It is a finishing and strengthening process. With respect to other finishing process burnishing process provide better surface finish on non-ferrous metal like aluminium, brass, etc. thus study of burnishing process plays important role due to wide application of above mention metals. And also the burnishing process is help to improve the surface hardness and surface finish quality. In this study it was found that in burnishing process the effected parameter like burnishing speed, burnishing force, feed rate, number of tool passes, and depth of cut.

Abstract: In the percent paper study has been done regarding electrode forces in resistance spot welding (RSW) in aluminium alloys and its effects way studied on various parameter such as percentage elongation, nugget diameter, penetration, heat affected zone (HAZ). It was found that electrode force plays on important role in welding of aluminium alloys which is different compare to steel due to it properties. It is subjected that one should keep maximum electrode force due to the difficulties encountered is resistance spot welding (RSW) of aluminium alloys which will provide high penetration, nugget diameter, tensile strength , better result can be achieved by applying maximum force and generally increase the value  of current.

Abstract: This paper presents the estimation of harmonic in PVDG connected distribution system to improve power quality. The nowadays popularity of power electronic devices used in PVDG is increased which causes distortion in ideal sinusoidal waveforms. The deviation as of a perfect sine wave can be represented by harmonic components having a frequency which is a multiple of the fundamental frequency.  Hence it is essential to measure the harmonic components to estimate their effect. The division of a variety of frequency components with respect to the fundamental frequency is carried out to measure Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) which is useful to intend suitable filters to eliminate the harmonics. In this paper, THD is measured in Photovoltaic Distribution Generation (PVDG) connected network. The 3 bus distribution system with PVDG is taken as case study and harmonic distortion on buses of this system is identifier. The high pass filter is used to reduce the harmonic level.

Abstract: Present need of modern age is contravention of natural resources and its optimum use particularly in automobile can be done by resulting the self weight of automobile. Aluminium alloys are known for its light weight. RSW of aluminium alloys can be provide high strength along with its describable quality. Present study draws the attention towards the same various welding parameter such as electrode force, welding current, welding time etc. studied for different arrangement like cover plates, stacks etc. Study revealed that if all the process parameter as mentioned. If varied in proportion with each other better results of resistance spot welding (RSW) for aluminium alloys can be achieved which can be validated with help of software.

Abstract:  It is essential to balance the supply and demand of active and reactive power in an electrical power system. If the system balance is lost, the system frequency and voltage excursion may occur. In recent years, power demand has increased substantially while the expansion power generation and transmission has been severely limited due to limited resources. As the consequence, some transmission lines are heavily loaded. If reactive power imbalance occurs in the system, then it leads to voltage instability. This voltage instability is a cause of a system collapse. Here in this paper, STATCOM is used in bifurcation analysis to maintain reactive power balance in the system. This analysis is done for IEEE 6 bus test system. Simulation result shows that STATCOM is useful for voltage stability enhancement and also improve loadability of the system.

Abstract:  Time and motion study is a work measurement technique for recording the times of performing a certain specific job or its elements carried out under specified conditions. Time study is a direct and continuous observation of a task, using a timekeeping device (e.g., decimal minute stopwatch, computer-assisted electronic stopwatch, and videotape camera) to record the time taken to accomplish a task. Motion studies are performed to eliminate waste. Under this project a commercial building construction site has been selected for time and motion study considering six selected ongoing activities. Data were collected for all activities under time study on field using stop watch and average time were estimated and were further analyzed under motion study to determine the optimum time required for performing selected operations and identify the extra time consumed on site. The analysis result showed that almost all the activities consumed about 31.35 % time more than what is required for actual work. The further investigation and observations on field explored some reasons for extra time consumption which included inadequate material handling, ineffective method of work, poor planning of inventory, poor layout and utilization of space. If these factors are taken into consideration the activities time can be brought nearer to ideal time required.

Abstract:

The importance of developing infrastructural facilities in rural areas has been long recognized as central point in promoting economic growth of India as it has direct impacts on individuals, households and communities both in term of income and other quality of life indicators. The village Parnera faces three basic problems viz: acute shortage of water especially in summer, no drainage system for sewage, and absence of good roads for transportation. Therefore, in order to connect this village with the developing India, a development plan has been made which comprises of establishment of a water supply scheme to meet all domestic needs, establishment of a sewage treatment plant to treat and dispose-off the sewage and making the village clean, and making cement-concrete roads for easy transportation of the people of Parnera village.

The water supply project has been planned with design of its all the components like diameter and depth of bore well; size (capacity) of overhead tank, height of overhead tank, size of pump and motor, diameters of main and lateral pipe lines, and the size of underground water storage tanks and their locations. Design of an adequate capacity Sewage Treatment Plant and/ or design of storm and domestic waste water consisting of sewage have been planned keeping the needs of the village. The sewage water can be collected easily from the entire village with the sewage network and treated in the plant/ or the design of drainage system on either side of the roads can be made. This project also aims at using the treated water for irrigating the crops which may double the benefits of the villagers. Thirdly, a plan has been made for developing the roads of the village by converting the present WBM roads into cement-concrete and asphalt roads with sufficient widths of about 20 feet or more in order to facilities faster and trouble free transport communication.
