Abstract: Industrial and Domestic Waste Water contains number of pollutants which mainly contains the Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), which having severe effect even if it present in small concentration. Benzene, Toluene & Zylene (BTX) and Phenol are main VOCs. Various methods are available for removal or elimination of VOCs from Waste Water with in permissible limits like Air Stripping, Wet Oxidation, Distillation, Pervaporaton, Adsorption, Membrane Separation etc. This study is review of Removal of Phenol form Waste Water by using different techniques. Different methods are used for removal or elimination of phenol form waste water. Adsorption method is dominating for removal of phenol from waste water. These review paper shows, Adsorption of phenol from simulated waste water by using different adsorbents prepared from different raw materials, effect of different parameters like Ph, adsorbent dose, contact time, Rotation speed etc. And percentatage removal of Phenol.
